i've never seen "home alone" or "forrest gump". i don't really have any plans to remedy that in the near future. lol

i've never seen "sound of music" either and i was recently told that's going to be remedied whether i like it or not. boxed

"Home Alone" made me cry. It is a GREAT movie.

I still get flashbacks of when I watched that film...but I don't like to talk about it.

Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain. I've wanted to see it for the longest time, but since everybody else has already been raving about for years I've kind of lost my motivation to actually put it in the dvd player. Human psychology can be weird.

And did you ever overcome your reluctance, and finally get to enjoy the subtle acting and poetic imagery that is Dodgeball? smile

eek

You must see it!

Mary Poppins is the first movie I ever saw. After we went to the movie, my mom bought the soundtrack, which I used to play on a little phonograph I had. Imagine an American 6-year-old walking around with an English accent, saying...

Though we adore men individually, we agree that as a group they're rather stupid. lol

To this day, if I'm feeling kind of blue, I go home after work, put on my jammies, make fish sticks and tater tots for supper, and watch Mary Poppins. It always makes me feel better -- in spite of the fact that Dick Van Dyke's cockney accent is atrocious. lol

i think i *tried* to watch the godfather movies a few years back but i kept getting bored and/or distracted, or maybe i was sick and fell asleep through it all. or wait, maybe i'm thinking of the lord of the rings movies. i'm not big on movies with lots of mafias and elves running around. i like more urbane fare like 'xanadu'.

I think you had to watch The Godfather in 1975 to appreciate it. I saw it for the first time a couple years ago and I was like, "Meh".

Same thing happened when I showed my kids "Raiders of the Lost Ark". That was the most exciting movie ever made - for awhile. My kids were like, "Meh".

I never saw "Goodfellas" which is supposed to be the best Mafia movie ever. But I did watch the last hour of "The Pope of Greenwich Village" last week. Although it was a trainwreck of a movie, I thought Mickey Rourke was cool.

i saw 'goodfellas'. it was a decent movie, and i usually find mafia stuff dull.

i still think 'raiders' is one of the most action packed exciting movies ever, but i've met young'uns who are all like "yawn, bring a book". dumbass whippersnappers. rolleyes
