I know I'm too late, but just wanted to add that I'm glad Ivy's daughter is found and is safe and everything. Will keep them in my thoughts as I'm sure there will be some tough conversations ahead.

I want to thank every single person who posted to this thread. Thanks to everyone who texted me and to every person who called me. Jana, Nathan and Phil: you are my angels and I thank you three especially. Peter/retina, I took extra heed at your advice. Thank you.

There is so much to say but the gist of it all is that our daughter/mother relationship is broken. We are both at fault but we are promising to work on it. She's is upset that my son demands so much of my attention and wants more of my time but at the same time, her acting out is keeping her away from home. She is not dealing well with the move into a home, being excited to get our own place but not wanting to leave her friends. I fear there are things she isn't telling me but I'll take the little bit she gave me for now.

As far as her posse of friends, they gave up her location. Supposedly, the mother didn't know Aja was at her place all this time. I've contacted all of her friends and her friends' parents and have told them that, in no uncertain terms, Aja does not spend the night out with anyone anymore. I take responsibility with being too soft on her at times.

Well, anyway....

It's been a great source of comfort to read all the messages of support here and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
