YEAH! You owned a "Slip-n-Slide" , on which you injured yourself on a sprinkler head more than once.

had one of these and yes you easily got hurt on it

Your Holly Hobbie sleeping bag was your most prized possession.

I didnt have a sleeping bag but my bedspread had her on it

You know who Strawberry Shortcake is, as well as her friends, Blueberry Muffin and Huckleberry Pie.

nod

You and your girlfriends would fight over which of the Dukes of Hazzard was your boyfriend.

The blonde one was soooo cute

You had subscriptions to Dynamite and Tiger Beat.

You learned everything you needed to know about girl issues from Judy Blume books.(Are you there God, It's me, Margaret.)

I think these are the only two points that apply to my sister. But then again she was born in ´78 so she was more "baby" than "little girl".

It's interesting though that I haven't even heard of most of these things. American culture was incredibly popular in the 80s over here (Michael Jackson! Juicy Fruit Chewing Gum! Sneakers! E.T.! College movies! etc etc), but in the 70s it hadn't quite made a mark yet and in the 90s it more or less faded away again. hmmm

OMG!! I was sooo teased for loving Shaun Cassidy as a little girl, Breaking Away was the first tv show I watched religiously! I grew up in the "hood" so liking any white boy was NOT cool.

I love Little House on the Prairie...would never dare wear any of those outfits in my neighborhood.

We rocked anything "jelly", belts, shoes, and the bracelets....and yes, my Dr. Scholl's were a favorite to wear, especially if you were going to the kite festival in Franklin Park lurking

Loved my Holly Hobby t-shirt, Strawberry Shortcake dolls and lunchbox (metal), and I was a mean cook with my easy-bake oven. Loved my Baby-this-an-that doll

I fantasied about being the princess in the cartoon G-Force, and I did rollerskate with metal wheels, got the scars to prove it.
