Recommend an MP3 Player At one time I thought I wanted an Ipod until I realized you could only sync it to one computer.
For my purposes I am in the process of cataloging all my music on my computer and use my MP3 player in the truck so I want a good sized MP3 player that I can store A LOT of music on....?? The man who does not read good books has no advantage over the man who cannot read them. -- Mark Twain.

I recommend the Ipod HIGHLY. http://www.facebook.com/p...111?ref=ts

ditto I love my Ipods. They are so elegant and beautiful. But if you don't get an iPod, I really really like the Creative players.

Is it for different functionalities?? I owned a creative Zen Nano because of the radio feature and recording feature. Then once I got tired of the fact that it didn't have a long battery life (it uses AA batteries), I swapped to an iPod nano (2nd Gen) cause it has lythium ion and that makes it last alot longer. My Zen is a great player indeed, but it always went dead on me at the gym at times I wasn't expecting. I have to have music playing to enjoy it. If they make a Zen that uses a lythium ion battery go with that. The charge last longer than using AA batteries. The best player out there in my opinion is still the iPod. The iPod Classic now holds TONS of files.

So it would make sense for me to just get an MP3 player that has tons of space for my library to carry with me in the ride and wherever I land, I can sync music from any computer I come across....?
I think an MP3 player will be my best bet. The man who does not read good books has no advantage over the man who cannot read them. -- Mark Twain.

I think an MP3 player will be my best bet. yeah. You can get over the limitation of the Ipod by buying third party software that allows you to copy your iPod music down to another computer. I think it'll run about 10 or 15 bucks for such software. Or if you find a comparable Creative Zen player, you can do that with no limitations, but it wont play anything you purchase on iTunes unless it's drm free (which is only now becoming an option).

Mine is a MP3 player fits 960 songs on it and a ilo(yes that is the brands name) I love it! I had to literally go out and buy mine cause my daughter wont let me borrow hers to take to work at night lol. I also play it through my car's stereo sytem as well. You have to buy a transmitter in order to do this. Smurf theme song-seriously how many fucking "La Las" can u fit into a dam song

How's about a cellphone/mp3 player?
I have neither...but nowadays I'm travelling about for work, and I'm needing a cell phone. What's a good combo unit? By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

There's a reason why the iPod is the mp3 player of choice. It does everything very well.
As for only having it go to one computer, that's only true regarding registering it to iTunes. You can set it up to act as a hard drive, and use a free program called Senuti (iTunes backwards) to get songs from someone else's computer. I've done that more than once. Also, I've had mine now for a few years and haven't had any problems whatsoever with it. I'm a very heavy user of it as well, I use it every day.

And whatever player you ultimately choose, make sure you catalog that stuff with a nice high bitrate so you have some quality files!!

I have a Creative Zen MicroPhoto that holds 8Gs of music I love it because, it charges off any computer with Windows 2000/XP so I can charge it at school. Plus it's small, durable, easy to use, and it has a really clear screen. You can add songs to it, anywhere where you can charge it and it plays both MP3s and WMAs (which I prefer because they are smaller). I don't know how much they cost since I got mine off Ebay over a year ago for $50 bucks, but I guess they are probably in the same price range of an equivalent Ipod. My only complaits are: -Occasionally it will cut off and then start "rebuilding library" (this is rare and it is only non-functioning for like 2minutes max) -On mine you can't browse pictures and listen to music at the same time (so no musical slideshows) -I should have gotten one with a bigger memory (In retrospect, it was silly to buy a player with only 8GBs of memory, when I probably have about 30GB of music) -I wish I had splurged on the video one (but that will be for next time) ...hope that helps [Edited 11/16/07 13:42pm] If you will, so will I

And where/what/how/do I get this Senuti program?? Is it downloadable or must I purchase it somewhere? I want to lean towards an Ipod, but I want to be free from constraints....
