Thank You for all your prayers and concerns and well-wishes. Cam prints them out for me to read and it's so touching to see the love, especially when I need the encouragement.

I only didn't want the hospital name announced because people always want to call the room or send stuff and both are problematic. Because I have troubles breathing and I'm on oxygen, talking is very difficult, particularly when I had the air cannon mask strapped to my head when I was in really bad shape. When my job sent flowers, the hospital brought them in so that I could see them from about 10 feet away, then they immediately threw them away in a different room. Food is no different.

I am out of ICU and in General Care, which is a big step. They are not sure when they will release me, but I am hopeful it will be late this week. At that point, I will become an outpatient and still have a few weeks of therapy, anti-biotics and such. They are sending me with lots of meds when I go, including putting me on an anti-viral program of meds for the HIV.

This was the first symptoms or conditions of my affliction, so it was a bit of a wake-up call. The PCP pnuemonia is HIV specific, and can be deadly. However, my case was not that extreme. Even at the worst points, it has not been anywhere near deadly.

Thank you again for all the love, well-wishes, positive thoughts, prayers. and so on. It helps encourage me a lot, particularly when I get cabin fever after 2 weeks here. I will write as soon as I can access a computer. Much love to all...

I wonder how come they throw away the flowers? Are they worried about making breathing problems worse?
