Is there a way to keep all your music on itunes but select the songs you want to play? Other than making a play list? A for instance: My friend wants to use my ipod for her party but does not want the million Prince songs I have on it to be part of the rotation. Is there a way to select them manually?

Hey, U can make a Smart playlist, which u can choose an artist that u dont want to appear on your ipod/playlist x

So if I want to play a certain song can I just rename the artist? Like, put Prince2 instead of just Prince?

It should hae to scroll downs, "artist" and "contains"

Make sure its showing artist, and then un-scroll "contains" to "does not contain" then type in prince, and then what ever prince songs u do want, just rename i gues?!
