lots of water is the biggest part of healthy skin...but seriously if youre concerned and want to reverse anything, call your local spa...facial treatments are fairly cheap and wonderful!

I'm very fond of Neutrogena products.

You can go to their site and answer questions, and they'll spit out a list of products for you:

At the risk of sounding like a consumer whore, I did it, and it has made a big difference for me. biggrin

I said it in another thread, but I'll say it again. Make loose green or white tea, let it cool, and cleanse your face with it using those cotton wool pads. Works a treat. Don't use powdered green tea, but some teabags are ok.

Cooled down almost to frozen black tea teabags over the eyes is good too. thumbs up!

Mon and I use this too. Kept one over from the hundreds we opportunistically sold on eBay when there was that shortage earlier this year. lol It's really good stuff and not too pricey really.

It's so simple - just wipe the tea on your face. lol I use loose white tea, drink a couple of cups and just keep a little aside in a shot glass. If I find my face feels a little grimey after a few hours I just dip a cotton wool pad in there and wipe away. It feels really fresh. My wife's sister even noticed a difference and asked if I'd been using anything. big grin And then I started drinking beer every day and smoking again and now I look like shit. smile

The best thing for your skin is a good diet, exercise and plenty of water. Go figure. lol

I have been blessed with pretty good skin, though it gets a lot pinker/redder than I'd like. I cleanse every morning with a facial wash for sensitive skin and I exfoliate maybe once or twice a week (if I try to do more I get way too dry). I follow up with a good eye cream and a good moisturizer with sunblock. I wear sunblock on my face every single day.

I've changed my diet the last couple of weeks to one heavy in veggies and fruits, and light on meats, even though I need the protein for my workout routine. I'm switching to a more cardio-centric workout.

As for Ben's recommendation, I don't smoke, so the constriction of blood to the skin (or greying and dullness of the skin due to smoking) is not an issue.

But I noticed when staring close at my facial skin that aside from occasional pimples, I've got these annoying spots due to sun exposure. I also noticed that I have new moles, etc. etc.

I'm not trying to be vain, but I'm really in the "get yourself back together" mood lately, and aside from hitting the gym and running, cosmetic concerns are coming into play now neutral

I think both you and Carrie are completely on the right track. In addition to what you're doing try increasing your intake of herbal teas (they have wonderful cleansing propeties), and try to get to a sauna or bath house to sweat impurities out of your system at least every 2-3 weeks. Maybe you could see if there's a Russian-Turkish Bath in your area. They always have an insane variety of saunas and water treatments that over time improve the quality and elasticity of your skin because you've gotten all of the "gunk" out. Although it won't help your sunspots, it also might be time for you to get a colonic as well.

MIGUELGOMEZ

I'm a huge AVEDA fan. I've been using some moisturizer lately. Mostly because I love the way it smells.

Here's what I use:

Pure plant extracts plus tourmaline an energizing mineral infuse your skin with visible radiance. This light, oil-free formula rebuilds skin's moisture barrier while shielding from sun and other environmental assaults. So your skin looks and feels healthier and more radiant.

• Minimizes the appearance of fine lines
• Helps prevent sun damage with SPF 15
• Delivers non-greasy, oil-free moisture
• Protects with natural anti-oxidants

What products do you recommend to return a natural glow to your skin? To give it a nice, firm youthful appearance?

Is there something that fights or reverses spotting due to sun exposure or aging?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

I know I am all kinds of late posting to this thread but here ya go....

Drink 63 oz. of water a day. Take some Flax Seed/Borage Oil Vitamins (actually they are capsules that taste pretty dog on good) plus a Multivitamin and get your colon cleansed every six months. It like a charm for me but as far as facial cleanliness and what not.

1. Cleanse morning and night followed by a toner and moisturizer.
2. Use a facial scrub 2-3 times per week to get rid of the dead skin.

Again, works like a charm for me, especially taking care of what is on the inside first while working on the outside.

Here are some links to products I recommend:

Water - Ummm, spring water will do just fine.
Colon Cleansing (extremely important I feel for overall health) www.drnatura.com
Flaxseed w/Borage Oil Vitamins -
http://www.vitaminshoppe....id=NO-1442
Multi-Vitamin - http://www.vitaminshoppe....id=JM-1011

For extra dry skin you can never go wrong with Pure unrefined Shea Butter and you can order online www.nasabb.com

You can also order Black Soap which is all natural as well and works well if you suffer from acne.

I am also really diggin' the Oil of Olay Definity skincare line for the firming and glowing.
