Whenever I meet one,
I usually interupt 'em before they say anything
& just ask 'em if we can just get straight to the sex.

I may buy 'em breakfast afterwards,
but only via org-note.

I don't need conversation with my sex.
I got a girlfriend for that.

I always introduce my real name first as most know me. If i get the puzzled look, I will tell them my screen name. And then will refer back to my real name.

Most other orgers I meet, I get the screen name first and then it's real names after that. I think the only people I have met where there names are nick names...Muse & Anx. THeirs is pretty interchangeable.

Oh, but when we talk about other orgers (and we do) we refer to them normally by screen name.

I've spoken to several orgers.

Most call me Jill.

But I get called Hokie from time to time. On a casual level either is fine, but if I get to know someone on a deeper level then I'd prefer to be called Jill.

Do Orgers when you meet them address you by your real name or your Org name?

No, they usually address me as "the @%$#& mod who locked my thread / gave me a strike / banned me for a few days...." wink

Seriously, since my username is (effectively) my real name, this is really a non-issue for me.

As for why I use my real name, I think it goes back to the PML/PPML era (1990-1998). We didn't have "usernames" or "accounts" back then. Instead, your name was appended to your posts by your email client. For many (if not most) of us, our outgoing emails had our real names on them. But there were exceptions... for example, anyone remember "CoCoCrip"?
Please note: effective March 21, 2010, I've stepped down from my prince.org Moderator position.
