I hate finals more, but only because I didn't take midterms seriously enough. I once took a midterm without ever having been to the class! Managed a C. But it was basic Biology, which I'd already taken in jr high & high school

I can relate on the "missing reference materials." fucking annoying!

Dominic Obrien's memory techniques are incredible. I used them to memorize grocery lists for 20+ items before. It's been a couple of years but they do work and are very practical. He uses what the greeks called Pneumonics, but puts a few spin on the techniques. They're amazing.
