New TV show you gave up on?

What new TV show you gave up on? For me it's Reaper. I watched it several times, try to like it but it's just too silly. Tired of "the slacker" in the lead role. Watched pushing Daisies one time and never again. What about you?

bionic woman. it's not the same without the terry cloth jogging suits and oscar goldman. as for the current incarnation of this show, i liked it better back when it was called "alias".

HOW DARE YOU! mad Jimmy Smits' fineness alone is worth watching it! hmph!

razz I love that show smile As for me:

Cane: love it...

Dirty Sexy Money: I fast-forwarded through every episode except the first one, the whole spoiled family thing is SO tired to me. BUT I do like dude from Six Feet Under, the twisted priest is deliciously awful & the politician/wife/tranny mistress triangle is getting interesting. Sticking with it for now.

The Practice: thought it would suck, it's getting slightly interesting now that people are having sex lol

Rules of Engagement: a total embarrassment, can't believe I'm admitting to watching a CBS "comedy" hammer I think I gotta drop it, it's so not funny. I do like to see David Spade get punked endlessly though...

Big Shots: Nia Long & the dude from Alias finally kissed, those two getting together is really all I was waiting for (I fast forward all the other storylines). But the show is doomed, I'll hang in until it dies I guess...

So I haven't dropped anything yet confused

What is deteriorating about Pushing Daisies? It was described by some Orgers as the best new thing. As some did with Bionic Woman, a series I could not warm up to AT ALL.

I have seen a few episodes of Pushing Up Daisies and it looked to me like a mix between Big Fish and Moonlighting. I have not yet made up my mind about it.

I still love Samantha Who? though. That still got me laughing every epidode, confirming my hunch that Cristina Applegate is one of the best comedy actresses out there; she is deadpan good.

To me a good series is where not only the lead character is ace, but also the sidekicks. Samantha Who?'s got that.

Has it gotten better? I watched the first few episodes and it just seemed like the men in the family battling for power and the women in the family acting vacant and being very underdeveloped characters. At least the wife and daughter seemed that way. Grandma was cool.

Oh and Jamie's girlfriend makes want to barf and rolleyes . God help me if I ever have a son and he brings home a girl that idiotic. disbelief

Well if the whole power/family business thing doesn't interest you then you're not gonna like it lol It's a constant battle w/ Alex getting deeper & deeper in shit, his brother undermining him, etc. I like all that though.

I do skip scenes w/ the son who's getting married, that shit is boring. It's true the women aren't the most developed characters around but I'm not sure how interesting I'd be if my family had tons of money, my husband was gone all the time & all I had to do was shop & do charity work lol I can't throw the whole show out, Jimmy is too fine & always in a suit. I'm watching razz

Well, I'm giving Invasion a try. I watched the first three episodes and will be watching the fourth this evening. It's sort of like Invasion of the Body Snatchers set in a small town near the Florida swamps. I think the pacing is a little slow, though, but the male lead character is sexy (don't remember his name yet, though.) biggrin

The only new show I have been watching is Dirty Sexy Money.... I love this show, but I think it could get old real fast. I really hope it don't. smile
In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular.

This show got cancelled but there were alot of people who wrote in and CBS decided to give Jericho a second chance. I'm not sure when it's coming back, maybe January.

Bionic Woman, ech! This show is for kids, I guess, but I can't watch it even though Starbuck is in it. It's too serious!

Chuck, I can't decide if I like this show or just the sexy spy.

I've totally lost interest in Grey's Anatomy, though that's not really new anymore, I guess.

The only new shows I watched this year are Pushing Daisies and Mad Men. I still watch the former for Chi McBride and the latter has ended its season already so no abandoning new shows for me.

Mad Men was awesome.

I read that season 2 (next summer, grrr) will take place two years later. Supposedly, the goal is to get to the end of the decade in six seasons.

Peggy having that baby was the only thing I didn't like. Can a woman as thin as Peggy was at the beginning of the season really not realize she was pregnant until she went into labor? That's either some major denial or major ignorance.
