You sometimes prepare for things like this and you always think you'd be ready but when my mum woke me this morning to tell me...it took a minute or two to really sink in.

This has been the worst holidays of my life.

She had such bad dementia we had to put her in a nursing home. She died peacefully in her sleep. My aunt and grandma visited her yesterday and she seemed good.

I'm happy she's with her husband again, who died when I was 6.
