HEROES!!!! SPOILERS!!

Is anybody going to talk about it?

My favorite part, besides Peter been shirtless, was "Shut up, Claire.", and off they went. I wasn't too impressed with the effects but it was a great moment.

Yey. "Syler's back and you're going to be in trouble. hey la hey la Syler's back"

I'm glad they showed Micah and Nikki. Can you believe Uhura from Star Trek is going to be his grandmother, woo hoo!!!!!

I'm not feeling the whole Hiro story for some reason.

What do you think?

I am really trying to find my own with Heroes and find something special about it that really makes it stand out. I like the special effects a lot. Don't get me wrong, I like Heroes a lot, but nothing makes it stand out special for me.

It was good to see some of the characters we haven't seen yet. I also like what's going on (or not) with Sylar. I also find Peter's new hair to be hot. Definitely better than the bangs nod I sort of wonder just what Hiro's story is about...except that we now see someone who could be part of Claire's Lineage.

I think right now the thing I am not too happy with is that it seems as though the some folks have the same powers as others. I'd also like to know why/how people are getting powers. Oh and the Molly/Matt arc is kinda boring. I still feel as though Molly is a direct rip off of the 4400's Maia.

Oh and it feels as though the entire cast has merged with Star Trek.

We are still on the first series in the UK. I guess I am geeky like that, but I do love the programme. smile

Well, I burned through season 1 and loved it. But so far, season 2 is boring. They broke up Aldo and Hiro, my favorite thing about season 1. And I'm tired of all the other characters.

Peter: Why the fuck didn't he just reach over and take the box away from that guy? And how stupid not open it. confused

Matt and Suresh: Just makeout and get over with. At least now we know why he left his pregnant wife. confused

I dunno. Maybe these shows are just better on dvd when you can watch 3-4 at a time. neutral

I too liked the Hiro and Ando duo. I miss that. I am really confused as to how Peter ended up where he did and what is going on with Nathan. I think that forwarding into the future and not explaining what happened is cheating somewhat.

I am also confused as to Suresh and Molly connection. I know he saved her and all, but why does he need to be near her?

I do like the Twins though. I find thier story a bit fascinating and mysterious.

Can you believe that the female twin was Callisto in the last X-Men?
She's amazing.

I only saw the first 2 X-Men. I keep hearing Kristen Bell is on or going to be on Heroes, but I have yet to see her.

Did anyone catch the new character Monica, played by Dana Davis? I didn't and I would think I would recognize her from The Nine.

I'm reading that she is apparently Uhuru's daughter. And there was supposed to be something about being a Katrina Survivor. Maybe that got cut out.

Kristen Bell shows up in episode 5. She's rumored to have some electric power.

I
think she's the one who locked Peter up, and that he got his newfound electric power from her.

That would make sense, seeing that we had not encountered it before. I know that she is part of Peter's arc. I am hearing we will get filled in with what happened after the finale of last season. I'm sure it'll show Kristen with Peter.

I do think we were supposed to meet Monica (who has a nifty ability) during this last episode, but that obviously didn't happen. She WILL be in next weeks episode...I am hearing that a lot of it will take place in New Orleans and that that arc with Micah is going to be a fun one. I don't think that the story will really collide with the others, that it might just be what's going on with Micah.

oh and here is a cool rundown of when Heroes is and is NOT on...

The series was renewed for a 2nd season of 24 episodes plus six special Heroes: Origins episodes. The series come back on September 24 - run 11 episodes in a row, take 4 weeks off, run 7 in a row, take 3 weeks off and then finish the season with a final run of 6 episodes.

I am also hearing something about BOB.

All I can say is that it's interesting how The 4400 and Heroes are in no way competing with each other's schedules, I like this new program scheduling that's going on.

I am so there if "Sulu", and "Uhura" are in it, even if it is a cameo spot.

If they were, I'd have a real hard time keeping them straight. Glad I am not the only one to see the similarities between the two. I am sorta happy that Heroes doesn't seem to be going in the same path as the 4400, though they do borrow from that show I think a lot.

What Heroes brings to the table in special effects and the noir filming they do, 4400 makes up in spades with a rich and complex plot. The 4400 really deals with the consequenses of people having abilities. Really, it's going in a direction that Heroes will never go. Which is fine, as I find Heroes to be very comic bookish/action and the 4400 to be a lot more Sci-fi. One thing they both have in common...so-so actors mixed in with really good ones.

I do hope it does eventually get revealed as to why/how these people are getting their abilities.

highlight below for an interesting reveal/spoiler which you'll only understand if you know the 4400...
There is going to be a reveal (with something called "the 12") in the upcoming episodes on Heores that is going to make you think of the 4400's purpose. Though it will be handled in a completely different way

I thought the "12" were the former generation of heroes, including Angela Petrelli, Sulu, and Malcolm McDowell.

hmmm The 12. Do they have the same writers, producers or something? Interesting.

I like how you broke the highpoints of the 2 shows down. I just hope they don't try to converge the 2 some kind of way. Stranger things have happened in t.v. land.

As far as I know it there is no connection between the 2. I know that most of thos involved on the 4400 have deep Sci-fi roots.

Yeah, since I discovered the 4400 oh about 4 months ago, I have poured over all of the episodes (I'm in Season 3 now and I watched season 4) I have noticed many things that are similar between the shows. It was disheartening though, as I thought Heroes was really unique. I do love Heores, but after watching 4400, I have to wonder how much are they borrowing from a MUCH lesser known show with a similar premise. I try not to think about it too much as it takes away from the TV experience and I have been looking for something that makes Heroes stand out for me.
