Krispy Kreme I love these donuts, always on my list when I visit the US (along with chicken wings and breakfast burritos). They opened a few over here and I never saw any so it was no problem, but since I moved work I drive past one every day. I have currently resisted, (I don't think Mandiet stretches to donuts! Although it should ) I know once I have sampled them I will be stopping for drivethrough every day.
Damn you USA for pushing your quality fast food chains on us So , horror stories from Krispy Kreme please, Pubes in frosting kind or corporate nasty kind. Please spill. Happy is he who finds out the causes for things.Virgil (70-19 BC). Virgil was such a lying bastard!

Stupid org eating replies like they're Krispy Kreme's!!
Krispy Kreme's are amazing but they are so sweet that after a week of eating one a day, I'm sure you'll get sick of them. I find that they are much better as a once a week, once a month, or a special occasions only kind of treat. [Edited 9/25/07 4:19am]

Can we stop it with the food talk please. I had a bowl of shredded wheat for breakfast. Then at 11am I turned into a Hobbit and had second breakfast. I thought a cooked breakfast might get me set for my last day of house packing before the move tomorrow. But it is now almost 1.30 and I am hungry again
Could someone drop me off a sandwich please.

If you are gonna be a thug be a gentleman thug.....in I dunno, I will iron a square cut shirt tonight, then definately can (should) be worn out. Too much hastle to decide in the morning. I have to face the new student intake tomorrow too - so I will need the Krispy energy. The battle to the front of the hot off the oven queue will prepare me well. Oh gosh. I have no horror stories to tell. I lived in San Antonio and was ten minutes from a store and my kids would always beg to go there and watch them cook the donuts. They came to you hot and fresh and literally melted in your mouth.
They were good, but not good for watching your weight.

I've seen them but never had one. They actually look like they are oozing fat, or sweating lard or something.
I bet they taste good but I could never bring myself to buy a pack.

recently one of the networks measured the actual fat content of various brands here versus their purported levels in nutrition information. virtually everyone had way higher results than what they claimed to contain.
Krispy Kreme says its crullers contain 13 g of fat but tests showed the fat content to be 19 g.
and then they showed a beaker with the fat measured out http://www.cbc.ca/consume...t-fat.html

I bet they taste good but I could never bring myself to buy a pack. I'm sure these donuts are oozing in fat, they are covered in glaze, so much sugar and so good There's a Krispy Kreme right across the street from where I work and you just smell the those donuts all day long, they smell so good. I try to only have them about once a month Rhythm floods my heart♥The melody it feeds my soul

I bet they taste good but I could never bring myself to buy a pack. That's the perfect analogy for them b/c they ARE They're really good BUT you do get sick of them (in fact if you can avoid ever trying them, please do). When we first got them in the Bay Area I would go on 2am runs to get some Thankfully they got old in a few months & now I can have one & not binge or totally resist them (haven't had one in over a year). It'll wear off
