just wondering...there seem to be so many witty, sensitive and genuinely funny people here on the org, but for the life of me, i can't find two people around me who can hang with my sudden changes in topics (like, music, politics and just plain goofballness) does this happen to anybody else?

I am blessed with a sizable group of friends who "get me". But there are a handful of people here who "get me" as well.
It's maybe more easy to find that here quickly than say work or a random place as we already have something established in common (Prince, music, etc.) to build on.

Not a lot of people "get me" here, but they would if they were in front of me, I suspect.

Often, people on here don't understand that my humour is a bit sarcastic, not really meant to hurt, but more to goof around. People famous for 'not getting me' are Natisse and Petra. Petra often calls me a bitch. I do not know why.

I would say there are more people that get me IRL...only because the written word is very easy to take out of context and sometimes we all get riled and react...the thing about me IRL is that i will have a stand up fight with you and then when we are bloodied and done, buy you a beer and give you a hug. Here it is difficult to convey the way i am in that context. There are a few that have seen that but there are many that once we disagree think that is the end of it....so be it.

Very few people "get me" in the physical world.

It's strange because I act the same way online as I do in person, but the way people react to me here is opposite to how they react to me in the real world.

I've been trying to figure it out lately and I come up with nothing.

I find that my sarcasm is better accepted here (or maybe just ignored) ...but the handful of friends I have IRL are tried and true and have gotten me for quite awhile...
