Are we slowly turning into our parents?

Do you find as you get older you adopt more and more of your parents traits?

I was adamant I would NOT be interested in politics - EVER!
I would roll my eyes when my Dad would talk about how good the music was in his day.
I do tend to be more careful about money, whereas before if I had my last £20 I was only worried it would be enough for a night out and not even thinking about paying that bill.
Kids have no respect these days is another one.

I am becoming THEM!!!

My wife tells me that the way I carry myself and voice etc. becomes more and more my father.

As far as how I live my life and the views I have I am the complete opposite of my parents and become more so every year.

Agreed on both counts. My mom didn't raise me, but I have her exact voice and physical mannerisms (though we don't look related).

However, each time I talk to both of my parents, I realize how different I am becoming and how separated/alien I am to them. It's saddening and relieving at the same time. My "personality" (I won't go there today) is nothing like either of them. We also have very little interests in common. Our outlook on life and what we expect of ourselves are all vastly different as well, despite the fact that they are polar opposites.

A couple of weeks ago,
I had an itch that slowly began turning into a vagina.
I figure that, combined with my penis,
affords me the right to say that I find myself turning into everyone´s parents.

maybe I will turn into my dad, he gets obsessive about things, but I could never be like my mum, I only have about 20% of the energy she has, a day out with her kills me dead

I've always been a lot like my father and look more like him around the face. The older I get, I realize I have my mothers hands and feet and her family's knees.
I have picked up traits of my mother's that surprised me. Doing the mom dance around all the time in my house when I'm cooking or cleaning, singing along to anything and not really caring (both of those embarrassed me to no end as a child!).
