I feel for you Byron..... I really do....

My daughter is only 9 and so I have at least a few years until I get to go through this stuff pray

I have a feeling though that you were a great father to her as a little girl and so if it makes you feel any better, she will likely compare any guy to her daddy...and if he doesn't measure up... chair

So they live in Ohio now you say? Where abouts? I just moved from there myself.... so glad to be in Minnesota now!

Good luck B! wink

9 seems like ions ago lol confused....and I always kidded with her about her probably never finding a guy quite as funny, smart or good looking as her father (heh lol), so don't be discouraged lol neutral...I DID make her pinky-swear not to date any serial killers, though... thumbs up!

Apparently his name is "Adam" mad (imagine me saying that in a condescending way lol)...he's tall, something like 6' 2"....blond, curly hair...no peach fuzz yet (thank god lol)...plays football...sheesh. Going to the homecoming game together this weekend...she's wearing his jersey number. disbelief

I've been replaced!! bawl lol....

Actually, to be honest...I'm happy that she's experiencing this aspect of Life, that her heart is being effected, even if just a little rose heart...Of course I hope they don't actually get serious anytime soon (her mother will keep an eye on that, again thank God lol)...but the reality of her having those types of experiences--like holding someone's hand and feeling that thrill as she does--kinda makes me smile inside smile...Bless her heart. touched

Anyway...anyone know where I can buy a cheap shotgun?

Weirdo!!! falloff

nod...Did it when I took her out to dinner once lol lol...right after dinner, I leaned in close and talked in a tone that was ultra-serious...looked her in the eyes, saying things like "I know at some point you'll find someone who you feel is worthy of your time, emotions and heart...etc, etc."...Her face is all serious, really paying attention...

Then I said "put out your pinky..."...she did...and I said, real serious-like, "Make me a promise, just one, ok, sweetie?...Promise me you won't date a serial killer...do it for dad"...lol...she busted out laughing and said "ok", and we did the pinky-swear... mr.green
