Is the internet a good place to hang out with friends and meet new friends, or just another way to waste time? I would like to hear people's views.  Procrastination is the art of keeping up with yesterday.

I'm not one for meeting friends online.
If it happens by accident thats cool. But I'm not like, LOOKING for it. The only thing I really do online is org. And thats like an outlett for me to say dumb shit really. Kinda like how artists draw or whatever. I crack jokes and make fun of strangers. I've reached in darkness and come out with treasure

I have yet to make a close friend on the interweb BUT I do keep up w/ current ones via email, & I shop my fucking ass off    I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it | |

Yes and no... I've met some of my favourite people in the world here, but you're always in danger of mistaking people's kind words and intentions
I now try and remember (apart from a small few who I regard as close friends now, not 'orgers', and keep in contact pretty much away from the org now) that it IS just a website. I've learnt a good rule of thumb that if someone is reluctant to keep in contact outside the org, then that's telling you something
