i am looking for a laptop but i DONT want a glossy screen..I cant beleive how hard it is to find a Matte screeen!
so was thinking of buying one of these glare protectors...does anyone know if they work?

My current laptop has a glare screen and it's awesome.

really?? did it come with the laptop or did you buy seperatly? was it expensive?

It came with the laptop. I would suggest you buy one and if you don't like it, you have the option of returning it.

My HP/Compaq laptop has a matte screen, so maybe that's a brand to look into?

a few wks ago i bought a laptop from Bestbuy (glossy screen)(HP) i tried it & realized i hated the glare...so i went to exchange it for a matte...which of course they didnt have any! only one salesguy on the floor (hard 2 believe)
& he basically said, pretty soon they wont be making matte screens
I pointed out 2 laptops i was interested in ..both sold out (ggrrrr) he didnt seem to want my business, so i got a refund.

think I'll try futureshop.

so id rather have a pushy salesman rather than one that doesnt give a sh%$

Some folks had them at my old place but I dont know if they worked or not. They seemed to discard them from what I remember. Personally I think it might be worth a go but they look like they easily get smudgy marks on them.
