If one of your best friends, partner or family broke the law

and asked you to cover for them/be their alibi, would you do it? eek

Have you ever been in that situation before? What happened?

Or if you were to be, what do you think you would do?

I think it depends on what they did and why they did it.
But I can say that most likely, no I wouldn't.
I can't imagine anyone asking me to, though.

Ok, answering seriously...I wouldn't lie for them, especially if I knew they were guilty. I'd go all-out to help them in every other way...but they have to face the consequences of their actions, no matter what.

That's kinda what I was thinking. I would help them all I could, but wouldn't lie for them. And I can't imagine anyone I care about asking me to. I certainly wouldn't ask anyone to do that for me.

Depends on what they did, and WHY. I'm probably more loose with morals than most people and I don't really fancy the boys in blue...something to do with my teenage years I think mr.green but it's all passed the statute of limitations now innocent

I wouldn't ask anybody to do it for me but I'd probably do it for them. People who're friends with me here know this in their hearts.

It would depend on the situation and how much I was putting myself in jepardy, but there is a good chance I would. Most laws are meaningless to me, and have no basis in morality. so I don't feel anyone should suffer for breaking them

This is such a hard question to answer.

I would like to think that I would never lie or cover for anyone, but I think it's one of those situations where you can't properly answer unless you've actually been put in that situation.

1. That's so hard to answer. I'd want to say no, but I think the only way to know is if you are in that situation.

2. No
