I eat it about once a week, it's a great replacement for white rice as a side dish. My favorite way to eat it is flavored with chicken broth, then topped with sauteed herbed mushrooms . That sounds sooo good Rhythm floods my heart♥The melody it feeds my soul

I was in high school and very skinny, and I wanted to gain some weight. I heard amino acids were a good supplement so I got some of those liquid aminos and drank them straight! And as teens are completely focused on changing, no matter what the cost, I continued to drink it straight for weeks, until I couldn't stand it anymore. Live and learn! I thought "this tastes just like boullion," and I was right! My Legacy

ooh, I like quinoa. I just learned about it about a year ago...it's a great source of protein, which is good for us vegetarians. I like it with garlic, scallions, and assorted steamed veggies but served chilled....kinda like pasta salad but quinoa salad. Maybe I'll have some quinoa tonight!

well I'm not a huge fan of couscous but I like quinoa. I don't know how to describe the difference, but to me couscous is more like pasta and quinoa is more like rice noodles (quinoa is lighter or something).

Here some other variations I eat on the regular: * Q w/ minced garlic, chopped red bell pepper, sliced green onions, chopped fresh basil, squeeze of lemon juice, salt & pepper to taste * Q w/ sauteed sspinach or kale (the quinoa flavored w bouillon beforehand) * Q tossed w/steamed green beans, roasted red/yellow peppers, chopped kalamata olives, chopped fresh parsley, splash red wine vinegar, salt & pepper to taste ....that's what I can think of from the top of my head

Quinoa is a supergrain. It's referred to as such because in addition to being a grain it's also a complete source of protein that contains all eight essential amino acids. It originally hails from South America and dates back to being food for the Inca Indians. Though it is similar to couscous in appearance, it is lighter, blander in flavor, and much lower in carbohydrates compare to that or any other grain.

No, no, Papi. Risotto (Italian short grained aborio rice) is muuuuch heavier, and the way it's prepared much soup-ier too . Quinoa is probably better compared to cous cous, just a lot lighter and even blander. But it takes up flavors very well, an is very versatile as a side dish hot or cold...

And they were tasty. I was little. Then it's settled. We'll have to make some together if you ever end up traveling out here. We could put them in Golden Gate Park and watch the birds and squirrels go beserk. Oh shit, my hat done fell off
