I left out PJ, unforgiveable.
And talking about certain groups helps you find new appreciation for these bands, like talking to you about JD made me hook up my old stereo and whipping out the vinyl...

DOH!

LOL. You sound like me. I used to say that all the time when he'd sit me down and force me to make a list with him. But now I get into it and it's kinda fun. We do it tournament style with brackets.

1,000 easily "murder-able" artists i love it! love

Ya'll can just copy and paste my list for it cause I

Lately I've just been listening to Prince Bowie and Madonna.

Oh and I've been listening to a lot of Missy Elliot. I couldn't stand her for a long time, not her music, just HER. But she's extremly talented and I'm really digging her stuff right now.

Ice...what kind of stuff do you have from Coil? I have a few albums but it's hard to buy stuff from them. There are a lot of expensive imports, I buy them and it's just one fucking instrumental song that's like 15 mins long. Love's Secret Domain is my fav, probably cuz it has words in it and is pretty creepy..what albums do you suggest?

And do you have anything by Current 93? I just whipped out "All the Pretty Horses" the other night after about 3 years. Whoa.

I have everything that Coil has released, including live stuff and limited-edition releases. I also have a cool live video of Coil that I got from a friend who knows Sleazy.

My favorite Coil records are:

Black Light District - A thousand lights in a darkened room
Stolen and Contaminated Songs
Gold is the Metal With the Broadest Shoulders
How to Destroy Angels
The Angelic Conversation

Shit... I will stop there... I love Coil. They are fantastic. I have also recorded a lot of things that are very much like coil, only my stuff is horribly disturbing instead of only stomach churning.

Love's Secret Domain has some cool stuff on it, but they were not being Coil really at that point... there were too many "songs" rather than disturbing ambient soundscapes. I really loved "Titan Arch" on LSD though. I also thought it was cool that they used "The Sick Rose" by William Blake in a song... that was cool.

Current 93 is cool too... but I prefer Coil... they sound best in a totally dark room with no light.

I have been listening to his old stuff a bit in the car... but his recent doings have not left me with a favorable opinion of him.

I love the old stuff, but he has pretty much lost it.

Did you see this current tour or go to the celebration? Even though a lot of his motives lately are questionable, his band and performance are possibly better than ever. I dig the new live Prince. Maybe cuz it comes on the heels of 6 years of hits-based half-assed shows, but I really think he's in rare form again.

I haven't seen Prince since the Jam of the Year tour... I saw that show three times with one aftershow to boot...

I have heard great things about the live show and I still think that he is one of the greatest live performers out there, but the message is overshadowing the music in his new recordings and it kinda messes things up for me.

I would agree that some of The Rainbow Children is very good though.
