It takes a bigger person to walk away from confrontation. Intelligence is shown, not by words, but by actions. In the past few days there has been all this drama going on. I know this is the org and that drama is the name of the game, but isn't there more important things to do and say besides who is being a jerk and who isn't? I mean come on people, isn't there enough pain and hate in the world without instigating it further here? Aren't there more topics to be discussed besides who is a jerk and who isn't? Let's move past this.

Indeed it often does, but not always. I think George Bush would beg to differ. Some posters who are continually insulting and belittling toward specific types of posters deserve to get a bit of their own medicine. Their behavior deserves to be denounced in some cases, just like you are denouncing confrontational people right here. You saw something you didn't like and expressed your disapproval, which is just fine by me but still kinda ironic, considering what you are trying to say.

I don't know which incident you are talking about, but if it's the 10 Icenine threads, this was actually a successful defusing of real argument. Of course, it could be taking a turn for the worse as I type, but still the Ice threads are just jokes.

I know what you are trying to say, but this isn't meant to be a perfectly conflict-free debating zone. On the other hand, it wasn't meant to be a debate-free conflict zone either.

well there are more important things to do than visit prince.org at all, but we're all doing that, so obviously there's time in the day to do the important things and the less important things.

yes, there are more topics than those. there are several forums full of them. but then, aren't there more important topics than talking about the way we talk to each other on the site?

i predect a new wave of "the tone of the org must change" threads being started in the upcoming weeks. and here i thought we were past that
