State Finals! With the permission of the org God, Ian, I have started a thread devoted to our trek from State Marching Quarter Finals this weekend through State Finals (hopefully) in mid-October.
This year, we're hosting Quarter Finals, or regionals. Which is a good bit like the second round of the NCAA tournament, except, you know, no basketball or anything. We're hosting the East Regionals, and will be performing first. East has several of the best bands in 3A competition all over the state, including Madison Central. I'm happy to report my band, Russell County High School is placed at #4 in the state in 3A competition out of both eastern and western regions. Class AAA East Regionals (Quarterfinals)- (RUSSELL SPRINGS) Russell County High Schoool Russell County Stadium Seating Capacity=2,500 CLASS 3A EAST 01 Russell County (1 PM CST) 02 Lawrence County 03 Paris 04 Bryan Station 05 Wayne County 06 Ballard 07 George Rogers Clark 08 Madison Central 09 John Hardin 10 Henry Clay There's the performance order for quarter finals - we get stuck being first since we're the host band. First is NOT the time you want to go at all. It's how we got fucked over last year at Semis...But it'll be okay since we've built up a bit of a reputation this year. We're gonna eat Madison Central's band.  -------

go 4 it, grrl!!!  it's funny, cuz when i wuz in hi school i had a lotta friends who were in the school band, and i'd spend almost every mornin in the band room, watchin folks phuc around on their instruments...
...i wish i were still in hi school. i miss those days.  | |
