Is real estate the most crooked game in town?

Anyone have real estate moments to share?

What's with all the secrecy around making deals? What are they afraid of? And why should you pay someone 7% for printing out papers for you to sign. What are your thoughts?
Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.

Yes! lol Where do these fake prices come from? The houses in our neighborhood were appraising for nearly $700,000.00 and we do NOT live in $700,000.00 homes!

they must be doing that shit everywhere

they are suddenly appraising our house for much more than we purchased it for
and now are raising our taxes, when in the begining we were told that your house is appraised and taxes are based on what you paid for the house

i dunno shrug

Living in a coastal area we have watched towns suddenly jack taxes way up, drive out the people who have lived here for generations, and the re-do the town. Old family houses are torn down to make way for new ones and chain stores are welcomed in

I've both bought and sold houses, and in both cases the real estate agents were professional and earned their fees. They did a lot more than just print out papers...

I'm sure there are some shady ones out there, though... nod

eek good god falloff

I have to agree there are some really dodgy agents out there.....hence the bad rep.

But there are a few really good ones...they do work hard....put in their own money for advertising and marketing, and a hell of a lot of time without the guarantee of getting any money back...after all if it doesn't sell they don't get paid.

Right, now Im off to buy lingerie so I can be a gazillionaire whistling lol

yes yes and yes-one word-GENTRIFICATION.

No offence to you ocean but here in nz it seems that a 4 week course and a grasp in bad grammar and cheesy sloganering apparently makes you an expert in land selling

average kiwi wage?

$30000

average house price where i live?

HALF A MILLION.....

None taken smile .....they need to toughen up over there.....courses should be longer and harder..along with decent licencing fees (ours are $1000 a year here) .
Generally speaking most of the ones that do a few week course don't last in the industry ...in fact most of them can't survive on a commission only basis which tends to get rid of the low performing agents pretty quick smile
