This isn't much, but yesterday , when I ran my fav hilly course, there was a 5 foot rattlesnake in the middle of the road and I couldn't pass. He had his rattle up and stretched out body. I tried to throw gravel in the area so he would move...NOPE. Managed to get around him. It was pretty early so I'm sure he got off the road before bike/car traffic. It's the monsoon season, so critters are out: tarrantulas, lizards, non-poisonous snakes. There was another snake I saw but didn't have a rattle and no coral. Smelled javalina, didn't see them.  | |
