I just got a ride home from a tow truck driver.

My car is sitting at a service place that isn't open on the weekends, there was no drop box for my key, and when I tried to call and leave them a message after 6 rings I got a fax machine. I'm hoping is it not towed to an impound lot before Monday.

I discovered when I call every single one of my Mpls friends for a ride at 10pm on a Friday they either have already been drinking, are on their way to drink or do not answer their phone.

I was driving home from my brother's house, which is an hour away. I was less than half way home. I was at his house cause we were decorating and cooking for my mother's 60th birthday party which we are throwing for her tomorrow.

I found a friend to bring me back out there in the morning (thank goodness!) but now I have no idea how I'm getting home tomorrow which means I'm gonna be stuck there ALL FREAKING DAY!!!!!

I hate cars.

I believe the serpentine belt went. It's been screaching for a while on occasion. I was on the freeway and I heard a weird noise under the hood. Before I knew it my battery light came on, the oil light started flashing and the temperature gauge started going crazy. When I pulled off the freeway, I noticed the power steering had gone too.

See...if you're not a car person, you may not pick up on the fact that your car is really trying to "tell" you something. If cars really want to be listened to, then they should just speak in plain english.

Like, "I need my oil changed!" or "My fan belt is about to break!" or something like that.

And then, whenever there is a problem and you have to look under the hood a red flag that says, "Here's where the problem is!!" should pop up.



So until that day happens, public transportation and Monks sound good to me.

So a car person or not knows they need to have it looked at. Also maintenance is the single most important thing. Especially on a german car.

but sometimes my car makes noises or has trouble starting up for awhile and then it'll be fine. Carrie said that her car had been screeching on occasion. In my world, if it's only doing it on occasion then i'm not going to really bother with it. I hate cars. They're a big bother.
