Sorry to be a party poop...I just don't think it's cool that people are lead to believe that getting a Mac is the cure-all for viruses and security. The reason Mac's are not on the receiving end of all that as bad as PC's are has nothing to do with their "quality" or whatever. It's just that no one's really put any effort into infecting them yet. No computer system is ever going to be 100% safe, it's just a fact of life..

you know, it's funny. i've got windows, & use live onecare for security stuff, and i've never had a problem in about a year of using this computer. the only time it'll freeze is when a particular WMP plug-in i have acts up, but if i removed that it'd be perfect.
