I just got a ride home from a tow truck driver.

My car is sitting at a service place that isn't open on the weekends, there was no drop box for my key, and when I tried to call and leave them a message after 6 rings I got a fax machine. I'm hoping is it not towed to an impound lot before Monday.

I discovered when I call every single one of my Mpls friends for a ride at 10pm on a Friday they either have already been drinking, are on their way to drink or do not answer their phone.

I was driving home from my brother's house, which is an hour away. I was less than half way home. I was at his house cause we were decorating and cooking for my mother's 60th birthday party which we are throwing for her tomorrow.

I found a friend to bring me back out there in the morning (thank goodness!) but now I have no idea how I'm getting home tomorrow which means I'm gonna be stuck there ALL FREAKING DAY!!!!!

I hate cars.

But I tend to overreact and freak out about these things.

Karen's probably right in that they will see it as possible work. And my car has been there twice before, so maybe they would recognize it if anyone is there? My only concern is that it is in a crowded neighborhood with scarce parking and they have signs up that say cars will be towed. But I was careful to have him leave the car where it has been placed before while waiting for service and not in a regular parking spot.

I hope a note will suffice, and I will leave it early in the morning.

I'm so sorry Carrie. I believe that cars are the worst investment ever.
If you ever see me pissed off it's either because I'm hungry or MY CAR DOESN'T WORK!!!!

I don't have a car, so I like the rare occasions when I'm driven around by someone who does have a car.

i'm not the biggest fan of cars or driving. all they do is break and then the mechanic lies to you and breaks your car more...so now you've just paid for someone to break your car...and then you have to buy a new one.
