Are you selling your garage? where would you park your car?

goof tease
i don't even have a garage.
or a driveway confused

it's really a "yard" sale
but do you know how hard it is to find
signs that say "yard sale"?? neutral
i have two cool ones though
double sided, arrow, and comes with it's own
self supporting metal frame.
that's all the advertising i am doing though.
the street one block north and one block south
are busy and usually full of garage sale signs.

horatio

also, at the hardware store, where they keep like things to weather proof doors and windows and such,
they usually have giant thin cheap clear plastic sheets,
that are inexpesive and you can use those to cover furniture and you other items on tables if it should rain.

you really likely wouldnt want people going in your house, is right.

Why would you sell your yard? after all the hard work of growing plants on it?

oh you two dead
you are making me dizzy
shhh and i do have to cut my grass!

as for the sale(s) - it's kind of an estate sale. but this is my house.
my uncle had three houses full of stuff that we are trying to sort through.
there is a lot of crap and a lot of perfectly good stuff.

he lived in a small village two hours away from me. if i did the selling there i would be trying to sell stuff back to the same people he bought it from (he loved auction sales)

and my mother is not up to sorting through everything to get ready for one big auction sale so i thought if i could peice meal my way through the plethora of dishes and household stuff by having yard sales at least i was getting somewhere. and the leftover stuff would go to salvation army instead of sit around those houses for another year.

If there's any pianos for sale, let me know. Oh, and playboy and porn, too. If it's on DVD of course.

that's what i'm afraid of. that and not being able to go pee.

Just put up a sign that says "One of these items is booby-trapped. Keep off". That'll keep them wondering until you get back. thumbs up!

Ok, I just got home a little bit ago... my eyeballs are burning and begging me to take my contacts out.

My advice would be...

I will be on the next plane to Canada! STAT

Additional advice, whatever you sell, even if it is $5.00, it is $5.00 dollars more than you had. thumbs up!

Personally, I would give it all away, which is what I do with all my material items.

...

My advice wasn't worth shit. lol

hello beautiful cool
ok so about that jet

biggrin

i always intended for my own stuff to just
give it all to a charity that comes to pick stuff up.
i just hadn't gotten around to it yet.
but with all of uncle art's stuff... eek it's a lot.
but part of my reason for bringing stuff here
is that if it doesn't sell it is that much closer
to the charity shop and won't sit around for another year. or ten.

ok so i did it. over all it was good.
my first customers said "with these prices you will be sold out quickly!" doh!
but there was still junky stuff left at the end but there was no way i was setting up again for sunday. dead
this was a dead time mid afternoon when about half of the stuff was gone.

i underpriced some things, overpriced others
and realized i am really not fond of antique hunters confused
three different men pissed me off during the day
wish i would have told the last guy to get off my yard.
next time perhaps i will be able to distinguish them from a regular garage saler.
i was hoping for university students but they were all busy moving doh!
and i had fully intended to set up again sunday but by the time everything was put away
it had been 14 hours since i started and didn't relish the thought of doing it again.
but i got rid of all the furniture woot!
and am now making reno plans with the freed up space. :ripupcarpet: :paint:
and i will do a better job next time of the pre sale sorting so it's not so much work getting ready for the actual day.
oh and next time have help setting up nuts
