I preferred Sylvester Stallone's Lock Up and Tom Selleck's An Innocent Man. Essentially, both are the same movie as Shawshank, but have more guns, homo-erotisicm and shower stabbing scenes. No, not that kind of stabbing.

Never seen it. I think Edward Norton is pretty crap at his job, contrary to overwhelming public and critical opinion. He gets away with it because he has baggy eyes and stands a bit awkwardly. The 'he/she must be great because he/she is not conventionlly handsome' school should be burned down. I think tom Cruise is a much better actor with a more natual flair for the craft of emulating emotion and being someone else for a wee while.
