Have you had your 15 Minutes of Fame Yet?

Have you had your 15 Minutes of Fame Yet? For doing what, where, and when?

No.

And no thanks. I can't deal with the cruelty of the masses towards people in the public eye.

I have been on TV a couple of times, but not really as the main focus and not what you would call fame.

If I subscribed to the philosphy then I would say not YET!

i'm spreading them out throughout my life in little bursts of mini-fame. five seconds here, two minutes there. keeps me from going all britney-lohan and burning out.

I had my 15 minutes of fame. But then again, national TV in Israel in the 80s isn't much fame.

I was on TV on a program that shows kids' hobbies. Each kid got about 10-15 minutes. Mine was about me being a kid photographer.

I also did a few voices in cartoons, but nobody really knows it was me. except the people who already know me and see my name in the credits.

I've been on local tv a few times. Once in a commercial (that I never even saw!) and a few other times on the news.

I don't really consider that fame, though. lol

Ya, I've been on the news a few times and in the paper, that's the most press I ever got.

More like 15 minutes of infamy.

Some years ago, I was editor of a student publication that contained a highly controversial article about the political affiliations of a certain ethnic community. Things got so charged, we had news outlets all over the country wanting to interview us live for commentary, etc. We even had some outlets requesting reprinting rights and wanting to transcribe the article into foreign languages for offshore publication.

In retrospect, we handled it fairly well for a group of untested para-professional 20somethings. But I certainly wouldn't invite a replay.

It IS worth it to know people. I've only ever had perks of not having to pay to get into clubs and/or going to the front of the line. Maybe a drink ticket or two here and there when I'm lucky. And that's nice. But you're right, I SHOULD be aspiring to gift baskets and spa packages. hmmm

I made it to the last bucket. But right before I threw my ping pong ball, Wizzo did that stupid "Duty Duty thing" over the bucket with his spell charm and I missed it. I've hated Wizzo ever since! lol
