Going to be long darling?

Going to be long darling?

British men spend almost a year of their lives waiting for their wives or girlfriends, a new survey reveals.

The average man spends 22 weeks alone waiting outside shop changing rooms while their partner tries on clothes.

They will also spend nearly a week of their lives sitting in their car before picking up wives or girlfriends from girlie nights out.

Six out of ten men say it drives them crazy, and one in ten were so annoyed by it they had dumped their partner.

And one in five men admit to getting their own back by eyeing up other girls in the store.

A spokesman for the survey of 2,000 men for clothes website www.missbutterfly.co.uk said: "It's staggering how long men have to wait."

How long do you wait/take to get ready??
It's a mess, ain't it, sheriff?
If it ain't, it'll do till the mess gets here

i'm always amazed at how many 'straight' blokes are standing outside
of lingery stores waiting for their wives to come back out.

i mean, seriously, what straight man would pas up the opportunity to
be in a store where women are trying on lingery, some even getting a
helping hand from the store girl in fitting their bra on etc...

lol.

they probably think it's "manly" to stand outside of the store, just
smoking a ciggy waiting for their girl/wife to come out.

but something just doesn't add up about that to me lol

I'm with you. If my wife is getting lingerie then I want to be there to help her pick it out. lol razz

I've noticed some women don't like this though, in Thailand at least. Last time I was in the department store at Central shopping centre and I never figured it was a problem if I just waded in there amongst the racks (no pun intended) by the side of my wife as she looked, but I was getting looks. shrug

shrug They choose to "sit and wait" - they could choose to DO SOMETHING while "waiting" instead lol

How funny

exactly! lol

I can't imagine dragging a guy along shopping who didn't want to go. Even when I go shopping with my gays, most of the time we split up and meet back again later as we go to our own respective stores. I only wait for them and have them wait for me if we're giving each others advice on purchases.

Well, I'd be embarrassed about my presumptuousness to even acknowledge what you're suggesting on account of my low self-image, but for the very same reason I think it's entirely possible they are those kind of looks and I'm just inept at recognising them. lol

I'll actually hold eye contact next time instead of looking away as soon as possible and get back to you on this one.

I take as long as I need to when I get ready. If I have loads of time, I mess about with different things and get ready slowly, then I realise I have dawdled too much, and I am late! eek

Or if I only have 5 minutes to get ready I can be ready in 5 minutes, but then I still mess about and dawdle and I am late! lol

I hate men waiting around for their partners in shops. They just get in the way. They shouldn't be allowed to wait in shops, but should wait outside. They take up too much floor space and it irritates me.

See, now there's a compliment I can work with. smile

If I posted a pic and someone would say 'Sure, your hair really is starting to recede quite a bit, but you're still pretty good looking' I'd be fine.

Or 'Yeah, I'd probably hit that if pushed'

Or maybe 'Your teeth are a bit fucked but I like your t-shirt'.

As for this part of the question, I'm notoriously punctual. I HATE being late, almost to a fault. If I know I need 2 hours to get ready, I start getting ready 2 hours early.
