Matt has told friends that he was sick of Jordan’s celebrity lifestyle and has gone back to his job at a tanning salon in Manchester.

The couple, who dated for two months, have gone their separate ways after a final massive row at Jordan’s home in Brighton.

The 32FF model was spotted without Matt at trendy London club China White this week. He was also missing when Jordan attended the Elle Style Awards last week.

Two weeks ago it was reported the glamour girl was seen kissing publicist Dave Read in a London club.

A pal of Matt’s said: “Matt and Jordan have broken up. He got sick of her job and all the attention that went with it. He’s very down-to-earth so the novelty of a famous girlfriend quickly wore off.

“He also found it hard to trust her. He was furious when he read she had been spotted kissing another man. When she went to LA and stayed at Hugh Hefner’s Playboy mansion, he was ringing her every five minutes. He missed her but he also wanted to make sure she wasn’t with any other men.

“They kept arguing about her modelling. Matt was very jealous and wanted her to to quit. Then they had a really bad row and Matt called it a day. Now he’s back at his old job at the tanning salon and is happy to step out of the limelight.”

Jordan started dating Matt after meeting him at a car show where she was working.

Matt even dumped Charlotte Halliwell, his girlfriend of two years, when he met Jordan, whose real name is Katie Price.

Matt’s pal added: “He practically moved in with Jordan. He spent all his time at her house but now he’s packed his bags and is back living in Stockport.”

Friends of Jordan, who is five years older than Matt, said he was a “tower of strength” to her when she found out she had cancer in one of her fingers.

He also helped her cope when she found out her three-month-old son Harvey, by footballer DWIGHT YORKE, was blind.

While going out, Jordan and Matt recently had a holiday in Ayia Napa, Cyprus, where they posed for photos for a magazine cover.

Jordan once said of Matt: “He’s my rock. He is helping me come to terms with everything and has been an incredible source of support.”

Jordan’s loves also include TV Gladiator WARREN FURMAN and Another Level star DANE BOWERS.

Matt's pal doesn't sound like much of a mate
