I'm bi-polar shy. Sometimes cowering, and then sometimes (I am told by my closest friends) I turn this switch on and it's like I'm a politician schmoozing with people.

It seriously depends on the hour and my mood. I can be painfully shy or strangely outgoing.

I became outgoing when I joined the military. More or less was forced to really.
But my job also forces me to constantly manipulate people into getting shit done for me.

It never came natural, but was something I learned to do. Hence my needing to retreat back to the real me for a few hours.

I bascially learned how not to be shy through work as well. In the crappy corporate world, it's ALL about who you know and being the social happy person. I turn off when I leave and it can get downright exhausting.
