If a dog had a soul, would it still try and hump my sister's leg?

No. Procrastination is the art of keeping up with yesterday.

I don't believe in souls. But animals are family. I'm trying to minimize the meat I eat. It's very difficult.

If we have souls, then they do. How many people would argue with that? Is that really the issue?
They're obviously capable of suffering, and modern farming methods are inhumane. oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1!

They're obviously capable of suffering, and modern farming methods are inhumane. factory farms are giant concentration camps churning out death, as well as a grotesquely efficient distributing mechanism for very bad karma to the consumer. lawd. I need to find a way off animal based food.

They're obviously capable of suffering, and modern farming methods are inhumane. factory farms are giant concentration camps churning out death, as well as a grotesquely efficient distributing mechanism for very bad karma to the consumer. lawd. I need to find a way off animal based food. One way: pick four days per week that are strictly animal-free. Add a 5th if/when you're ready. And so on. If everybody even cut down by half, the industry would be forced to change, you know? And make sure to find new foods that you like, rather than just removing stuff from your diet. It's easier if there's stuff to be enthusiastic about. oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1!

The problem is that I'm not a good person, per say Charlotte. I have a guilty conscience but that doesn't mean its strong enough for me to do good all the time. With the limiting of meats and dairy, my eczema is subsiding finally, but I need to swap all the way over. Honestly, I think I'm doing it for vanity moreso than an altruistic endeavor, but I don't know. I'm in a wierd place morally right now.

Honestly, I think I'm doing it for vanity moreso than an altruistic endeavor, but I don't know. I'm in a wierd place morally right now. I think that very few of us care enough to "be good people" all day, every day. For me it was just about making a decision, setting out rules for myself, and following them without thinking about it. If I had to decide whether I felt more like steak or compassion every damn day, compassion would frequently lose. I also transitioned my diet pretty gradually, sorta removing one thing at a time, but some people find that harder than going cold turkey (so to speak). Cutting back is good, eh? oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1!

We'd buy from farms that minimized the pain. It's possible to do that with animals too, though difficult. It's not about being perfect, it's about doing one's personal best. And that varies. oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1!

You would have to prove to me that nature created an animal that produced bacon, sausage, ham, pork chops, tenderloins, pork rinds, and pigs feet and expected us NOT to eat it. Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it. |

No. Not even a small chance of that. Souls or no souls, the food chain still exists, and I'd wager if I came across a hungry, carnivorous animal in the wild and he figured he had a shot, I'd be dinner. This one's for you.

you mean: if god hadn't wanted us to eat animals he wouldn't have made them out of meat
