But when I wake up after it happens, my eyes are a bit burning and dry. My friend in boarding school thought I was dead one night. Apparently it didn't bother him too much because he went back to sleep. Yeah you did and for a while I kept talking to you until you told me about it And what a friend! "Oh, he's prolly dead. I'll report it in the morning"???

If it's any consolation, I've heard that for many sufferers of true night terrors, they percieve them in such a state of consciousness that they often don't recall what they were dreaming the instant they awake. I heard one sleep therapist put it this way: Nightmares scare the hell out of the dreamer; night terrors scare the hell out of his/her spouse, friends, parents, etc. [Edited 7/18/07 11:38am] Thanks, Lammastide. In a weird way, that's quite reassuring.

I used to sleepwalk when I was a teenager.
I still talk in my sleep all the time, people tell me that they've had long conversations with me and I don't remember anything about it at all. "Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind"-Dr Seuss

i had a dream i was looking at a can of hairspray and there was a model who looked like one of the widettes from saturday night live, and she had a giant silver flip hairdo, and i started giggling in the dream and then i realized i was laughing really hard for real. whoops I LOOOOOVE waking myself up from laughing. I don't know if that's ever happened to me. Sounds fun. My little sister used to sleepwalk. She'd walk out into the living room or whatever and just sort of stand there and stare at us and mumble. It was very weird. But we'd just tell her to go back to bed, and she'd turn around and go. oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1!

I used to sleep walk when I was a kid; and, when I was younger, I used to talk in my sleep as well.
When I went to Uni, I shared a room with the captain of the rugby team for the first year and I was still in the closet at that point. I was terrified that I would announce "I'm gay!" or recite lines from some Broadway musical during the middle of the night. It honestly scared me that much.

I don't know how I can put this without offending certain people on the Org but he - and another guy in our block - used to 'mock molest' me, if that doesn't sound too bad. Seriously. I'd be all 'No! No! Help' all Penelope Pitstop-style, whilst secretly LOVING it. Of course, this was before I came out of the closet. They might have been more reluctant to do it, otherwise. . I have always been a fuzzy sleeper. Or too little or too much, spells of extreme insomnia, times when I seem to have sleeping sickness.
Right now I am going through a weird spell again; sleep really deep and short, then have a short period of intense dreaming. My dreams are all over the place. I babysat my nephews last weekend and I walked and talked in my sleep when my sister came back in the middle of the night. She won't ask me soon again, I suppose. LoL

Apparently I sleepwalk and talk a lot in my sleep. The first time that I was sleep walking whilst I was with my husband shook him up because I was dreaming of my son (who died) and talking about what was happening and walking. Apparently my husband was asking me questions and I was answering him although I was asleep. I always ended up downstairs on the settee. Pretty creepy eh?
