4. What ways could the police incorporate the community leaders into the program?

5. What should the specific goals of community oriented policing be?

6. Have you had any personal experience with Community Oriented Policing?

7. If so, what type of experience?

8. Was it a good or bad experience?

9. Do you see any disadvantages of Community Oriented Policing?

10. If so what type of disadvantages?

Yeah, it's pretty hard to answer any of the questions without knowing what it means.

It is something where the police get more involved with the community, like a neighborhood watch program

...color me stupid, but I have no idea...
my own 2 cents are...in my beautiful town of Santa Barbara, we are experiencing a huge problem with gang members killing each other, young ones mind you. In the past couple of months we have had 2 dead 14 year olds, killed by 15 year olds. sad Our police department is saying they are "keeping an eye" on this problem, WTF does that mean..keeping an eye on the problem? These losers are killing each other. I do not care if they kill themselves, but I am scared for an innocent by stander getting hurt. One of these killings occurred in the middle of town, in the middle of they day..

Yeah, I don't get it. Don't police in all communities act as a "neighborhood watch program"? Isn't that what patrolling is? confuse

For your information, the homework is to pass out the survey I created to people, so if u think I am asking people to do my "homework" (when in fact I take classes online so every fucking assignment is "homework") for me you are mistaken...I have done this before so keep your smartass comments to yourself

Kinda sorta this is more than just patroling this is using people in the neighborhood as "rent a cops" for the lack of a better term, so far in studying it there are situations where the public responds well to it, and there are times when they respond poorly to it, like riots because of increased police presence in the neighborhood makes some feel harassed if that makes sense
