What AREN'T U Listening 2 Right Now? (Part I)

We have a pretty good idea what u do listen 2...what about what u refuse 2 listen 2...do tell.

biggrin

Let me start things off:

Heavy Metal - Can't get in2 it. I don't mind some hard stuff, but it's gotta have good vocals, good leads...not just screaming and bang-your-head kinds of stuff. headbang

Eco-Music - The stuff with birds chirping, or water cascading down a stream...add some strings. barf

The Doors - Never liked 'em, never will. (sorry Lizard freaks)

Meatloaf - That fat ugly bastard...never liked his voice or his looks, but I like his acting...well "two outta three ain't bad"... lol

Yoko Ono - I like her art. I like her as a person. I just can't stand 2 hear that bitch "sing".

I'll think of more later...what about u?

I co-sign your list, June7.

I'd also have to add Howard Stern to the list. And for all his clones that preach about his honesty, preach to someone else about it. I listened to the guy for years and know his shtick very well. There's no doubt he can be funny as hell, but he can also be as vile and ignorant as hell, so the only time I hear anything from him is when others are listening to him within my proximity. The guise of honesty is mostly superceded by shtick of vile ignorance. The dumbass Robin Quivers is even more despicable.

And then there's Jim Rome - who I used to listen to during his early days on his night show before he became an ass...had Jim Everette kicked his ass on national tv it would have made my year...barfbarfbarfbarfbarf
This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

I think they should remain in general discussion, because although it ties in to music, it is more of a general topic than a discussion of the music. Just small talk!

I completely agree with you about country. As my geography professor correctly noted, country music is an oxymoron.

Dave Matthews ill

My roommate, who I ADORE, loves the music, so sometimes I have to put up with it because she puts up with Prince. Even trade-off, I would say.

ME TOO! Ack! He only has one song that I like... and it's the live version of "Where Are You Going" that he did before he recorded it for the album... I can't stand the radio version of that song.

The only song I can stand is "Stay (Wasting Time)." Thank God he doesn't have as many albums as P, though, otherwise I would be subjected to a LOT of DMB.

I hate "I Did It." That's gotta be the most worthless song ever.

I am currently not listening to:

The sound of a human torso being fed into a meat grinder
The sweet sound of human torture
The sound of breaking human bones
The sound of a knife cutting the flesh from a human skeleton
The glorious sound of a human choking on their own blood
The sound of a human being burned alive
The sound of a human being trapped under a lawnmower
The sounds of human misery and suffering
The sound of a human being disemboweled
The sound of a punctured human lung
The wonderful sound of a severed human artery
The gurgling sound as a human heart is pierced with a knife
The beautiful sounds of humans being eaten by cannibals
The sound of a human being flayed alive
The popping sound as a human eyeball is severed with a razor
The crunching sound of human sinew being chewed by wolves
The satisfying sound of a human being executed by firing squad
The cracking sound as a human spine is crushed
The sound of a family of badgers tearing a human limb-from-limb
The soothing sounds of a human tongue being ripped out with a pair of pliers
The sound of a human being dropped from a 50 story building
The sound of a human being ripped in half between two cars
The sound of a human being run over by a gasoline truck
The sound of a human being heroically killing himself to lower world population
The sound of a human being dragged behind a jeep
The sound of a chainsaw severing human limbs
The sound of a razor blade slicing through human muscle
The sound of a bullet ending a human life
The sound of a sledge-hammer landing on a human head
The sound of a screwdriver entering a human skull
...

And I have to wonder, what's left?

I suggest starting with the 'slicing up eyeballs' part and go from there.
