don't you get mad when people could have fed an entire african village for 2 years but they decide to spend their money on an unecessary whim.

what's worse is how remarkably bad the situation here STILL is even after all of that money.....they could've rebuilt this place 3 times by now and not spent all that cash....

It may very well be a whim and if it is then yes that is a ridiculous watse of money however to play devils advocate the tin roof is often used when roof trusses are overloaded due to weight issues with tiles. boxed

What amazes me is that people with money nearly always spend it on similar things; a nice house, a fancy car, expensive clothes etc. It seems a bit unimaginative. Where are the ones who focus on creative projcts for example? I can only imagine what kinds of cool short films and theatre performances and performance art could be created if the right people struck gold. On the other hand, it's hard to tell if it's the people who strive for conventional luxuries who become rich, or if it's becoming rich that suddenly gives people an appetite for conventional luxuries.

who knows, I think the creative types rarely strike it rich enough to do all those things
