Just got back from CEDAR POINT, and I got one thing to say...

You Top Thrill Dragster fans are loco en la cabeza...

WTF???

A Coaster that climbs 42 stories and hits 120 MPH in 4 seconds
surely is a death wish...

What's you fave ride???

[Edited 7/1/07 22:02pm]
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

Cedar Point - I love that place!!! I haven't been on Top Thrill Dragster yet, it sounds scary. boxed Cedar Point is known for its coasters, think they have like 13 or 14 of them. It seems like every year, they build a new one that is faster, steeper, and scarier than the previous one.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

They have 17 now with the addition of this year's MAVERICK...lines too long, but it didn't look that bad (scary wise)...I took my 11 yr old son, we stuck
with the basics ...CORKSCREW, MINE RIDE, BLUE STREAK, WILD CAT, IRON DRAGON,
FERRIS WHEEL...

I haven't been to an "amusement" park in over 20 years. I find the term "amusement" ironic. It's a waste of money and I can't stand having to shoulder check my way through the masses of morons. The rides are usually put together by mutants that failed junior kindergarten. The people who run the games are lucky if any of their teeth, at all, are natural. There's always a pile of puke that just happens to be in your pathway.

eyepop 17 - wow, you can tell that I haven't been to Cedar Point in like 10 years. lol The Ferris wheel is nice, because you can see almost the entire park when the ride stops and your car is on the very top.

The Gemini is a lot of fun, because it's a double racing coaster. Although the times that I have been there, they NEVER seem to run both cars at the same time. lol Magnum is scary as heck, OMG, that first hill is tall. boxed

This year, Cedar Point brought in workers from foreign countries to run their stands and cashier some stores...BAD MOVE...nametags reading ELIAS from EQUADOR or ISKBANA from TURKEY, if they don't speak english or have no concept of customer service, should NOT be put in that position. no no no!

I actually had a girl point me to another cashier because she couldn't understand that I wanted change for a $5 bill...

See, you're crazy lol...you couldn't pay me to ride the Raptor, Magnum, Millenium Force or the Dragster...although, this Dragster would definately be the absolute LAST coaster I would ride at the Point.

Agreed...I don't know if this is a new concept for them (it's been about 7 yrs since we've been also), but it was a disaster all day...these poor kids must be shell shocked...not being able to answer any questions that customers have and no chit chat with the customers.

I told him I was in a hurry because I had diaherra... lol

"Maybe on the way back then..."

That's gotta be rough on them, no doubt about it. I'm willing to bet that Cedar Point employs non-speaking English people so that they can pay them less money. Still no excuse for Cedar Point to do that, IMHO.

falloff falloff

I remember once many years ago, when I went to an amusement park (might have been Cedar Point, I can't remember now) with my mom and our neighbors. We walked by one of those callers, and he called my neighbor a "striped banana" because my neighbor was wearing a shirt with white and yellow stripes on it. lol

Moonbeam...they added a couple of 3 pt shooting contests too...it's run just like the NBA version but only 3 racks of 4 balls...

My shot was off today, but I managed to nail 3 of the 6 money balls for a medium prize. woot!

I can't imagine anything scarier than the Millennium Force. The Top Thrill Dragster is apparently taller -- and faster -- but it only does one short loop 20-second loop, versus Millennium Force's 1.25-minute dip and dive. Plus ML's first hill is a cable lift that accelerates as you ascend... so you don't just slowly climb over the top, you're SHOT over it! shake It's horrible! And then ML's cars straddle the track as opposed to being fixed in the track, so if you look over the side of your car, you see only the ground hundreds of feet below! It really is like you're flying. omfg

I won't get on the Dragster because soemtimes the car doesn't make the first hill -- it just falls backwards! And you get the choice to get off or try again. That just seems wrong. disbelief
