From what I posted on the dog thread, I thought I better post this too.

Scarloc DB's Rebuttal

OK, it's obvious you were under the influence of something when you wrote this, so I'll help you out. First, Cats are better. Way better than dogs. I will show you why.

Cat Owners aren't evil, they are powerful. They have the balls to go out and do what they want, no matter who says what, and they are not under control by their cats... really...

Cats defend people, if they are worthy. I'd much rather have a lion guarding my house than a stupid dog. A dog will guard anybody who gives it a piece of food. A lion would only guard the elite people, such as myself, which is great for everybody.

Also, only a dog owner would be stupid enough to get caught in a bear trap in the first place, so I wouldn't have to worry about it. A cat owner would say, 'hey, there is a big metal trap on the ground, I don't think I'll step on it, I'll leave it for a stupid dog owner'.

Dogs are known as "Man's Best Friend": Dogs just know they are stupid, so they have to do all that extra, and unrespected work to get people to like them, kinda like strippers. If dogs acted like cats, they would all be destroyed, cats get to do what they want because they are so great.

So now we know that cats are much cleaner, smarter, faster, softer, and just plain better than a stupid dog. So go grab your dog and pitch it out the window, then go find a cat, you'll be much happier...

cats don't insist on shellacking you in their saliva
cats poop in little boxes, not on the floor
cats only need attention until it gets a little annoying for both you and the cat, then they knock it off
cats sleep a lot, so you can pile stuff on them and take funny pictures of them
cats keep pests away (bugs, mice, people who hate cats, etc.)
cats are hours of fun if you tie a sock around their middle (loosely, please!)

CATS ARE FREAKIN CUTE (duh)

I forgot who said this, and would give credit if I could...

Best case scenerio and you get the smartest cat in the world...it still shits in your house.
Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.

You can get a cat to shit in a toilet though. And some people actually let their cats out for those functions.

I don't mind cleaning a bit of cat shit, and Tidy Cats Small Spaces is good anyway.

I love my kitties.
This one's for you.

Bringing us to another reason that cats rule:

They think we're idiots. In the most charming possible way.

Today I'm walking in my apartment door with a basket of laundry, and kitty proceeds to walk between my legs out the door. Not darting through, as though she were doing something naughty, but just calmly and deliberately waddling by, as though I would assume that she would stop and talk to me except that she has pressing business occurring Somewhere Else and she's running a bit late, but we'll have a cuppa and catch up real soon, though.

And then when I shoved her back inside with my foot, she looks up at me like, "can I help you with something?"

She just really thinks I'm incredibly stupid. mushy

They are! THey have TASTE!

Dogs are charming, but they're like pathetic friends or relatives who can't take care of themselves and make you feel guilty when you don't care for them.

cats cuz youu can train them to go in the liter box and with dogs, youu have 2 take them outside and pick up their poop

Cats can relax you

Cats respect your personal space.

Most cats do not follow you around the home with their tongues hanging out of their mouths waiting on your attention.

Yet, cats are far from aloof or unfeeling. They feel deeply and love deeply. If a cat comes to sit on your lap, you know you are truly loved.

Cats do not usually perform any special tricks, and they certainly do not guard your possessions while you are away. In fact, the only thing you can be guaranteed of by having a cat is that a mouse won’t last long if they creep into your home.
"Did u love somebody
But got no love in return?
Did u understand the real meaning of love?
That it just is and never yearns"

I'm not sure I would pit them against each other. They both have their place in people's lives.

I absolutely adore the personality of dogs, but I don't have the patience or time to care for one.

Cats are unique in that they're very...I mean VERY low maintenance compared to dogs, and they're very affectionate too contrary to popular belief. They're just not as "fun" and "peppy" but that depends on your needs.

Right now, I need low maintenance pets. And a cat is a perfect compromise from a dog's affection and indifference you'll get from turtles and fish lol
