I love this episode. And season 1 DOES suck. I used to hate the show because I saw bits and pieces of random episodes, and they were mostly from Season 1.

My Rankings of the Buffy Seasons (from Best to Worst):
Season 3 Season 2 Season 1 Season 5 Season 4 Season 7 Season 6 Season 3 gets the nod over season 2 because of Faith and The Mayor.
And if I'm including the comic's season 8, it's in there around the middle of my rankings. | |

I think it was season four after the fantastic four bonded to defeat Adam. The dream was sort of an epilogue. I seem to recall Xander drooling over Willow and Tara and imagines a near ménage à trois.
