No. They held a reception 2 months later (yeah, I know) in San Diego, so we did the whole San Diego/Las Vegas thing. 
Being in Florida, there is slightly less incentive for me to go to tropical islands  cause most of the year here, it's beautiful and we have the conveniences of US consumerism within 10 minutes drive from the beach. 
But I am totally stoked about going to see Phuket and Ko Phi Phi in Thailand next year. You should google it. That shit is tight! aaaah, but its a'different' kind of tropical babe. different attitudes, mentality. plus the landscape is different, not flat like florida or the keys- fiji' got volcanoes an sh**! 
i'm jealous about your thailand trip though. i JUST got email notification from quatar airlines that they have a roundtrip sale to phucket for Euro 440! but i've already planned my vacation for this year  | |

one of my girlfriends just got back from Bali on a work trip and she said its occasionally swarming with palmetto bugs (those gigantic flying cockroaches for those who are unitiated) the size of your foot. they just appear from out of nowhere like a plague in a bad 1950's horror movie. and clearly its a bit unnerving cause they#Re not afraid to attack. but other than those occasional episodes of Battlestar Cockroach, it's very beautiful there | |

I've only been to Bali so that's the only place I can speak of, but I warmly recommend it! There are so many local traditions to take part in, the locals are friendly, and the surroundings are of course absolutely gorgeous. Fiji seems more like a regular beach-and-sun place to me. | |
