As far as it being legal...I really don't see why not. As long as people are as responsible about using it as you're supposed to be when using alcohol (don't drive under the influence, don't use while pregnant, etc.) I don't see the big deal.

It's as good as legal here to begin with. (let's hear it for BC!) Unless you have a retardedly huge amount on your person, the most police around here will do when they catch you posessing is take the drugs away; maybe break your bong, but nothing serious.

I do smoke recreationally, but even then it's fairly uncommon for me. I like it well enough, but even cheap as it is it's one hell of a money eating habit, and it tends to make me too sleepy to really have fun. I'd rather drink, personally. It's cheaper and I'm social as anything after I've knocked back a few.

I think drinking is more dangerous than smoking weed- FAR MORE. You can smoke joint after joint after joint- you're not going to get any higher than if you woulda just smoked the first. Do that with alcohol you'll lose your mind.

Although, I admit, for the most part I agree with you. I don't enjoy being around potheads at all. Annoying, stupid, think they're thinking incredibly deep thoughts which are actually mostly nonsense, etc. But then there are plenty of folks who don't want to be around people drinking and I can't say it doesn't also make people stupid, and some people violent as well. We drunks are just a different kind of loser.
