OMG, I didn't even think to look for celebs. My friend and I were too busy getting drunk and having our picture taken ourselves. Someone please warn me if I show up on the Peaches site holding TWO drinks in my hands.

1. New York City 2. Portland, OR 3. Cheyenne, WY Isn't that one of the top rated cities for 20 and 30 year olds to live in? Have you ever been there? I have and I hate it. I am married with 2 kids and would want a play for them to play. Plus the weather is a big deterrent. It's really rainy and it never gets really warm which I like. Plus, it's kinda dirty with lots of bums.

1. New York City 2. Portland, OR 3. Cheyenne, WY Why not NY? Too many people? That in addition to dirty, expensive, crime, unfriendly people... The one redeeming quality about Portland is that it has an AWESOME public transportation system.

New York is actually one of the safest big cities in the U.S. Crime was a problem for the old New York in the 80s. And there are lots of friendly people here. Just ask someone how to get somewhere in the subway--you'll get ten people dying to give you directions. Speaking of which the subway runs 24 hours a day so you can get to any place at any time. The only negative really is the cost to live here.

The only negative really is the cost to live here. I've only visited NY several times and I'm sure you know better than me because you live there. The expense thing is a big turn off. Once in college I drove my car into Manhattan and parked on the street. The city blocks are so huge and I didn't see the "NO PARKING" sign. After I returned to my car it was gone and I thought someone had stolen it. After a lot of asking around I realized it had been towed. It cost me a fortune to take a cab to the impound place and then over 100 dollars to get it out. People were not friendly and a bunch of fights broke out at the impound place. It was a scary experience for a 21 year old girl from Virginia. That's my bad NYC story.

Ditto. I've always been no further than an hour from the ocean and frankly, you can't step down once you've had it. Oh shit, my hat done fell off

Personally, as an American, I'd much rather expatriate.
I don't have any continued desires of living here like that. There's no need for me to put down nor belittle any other American city when they all kind of blend into each other anyway. I'd much rather come to the U.S. on occasion and do my thing elsewhere. Outside of all this. But, hey, it-is-what-it-is. ... [Edited 6/21/07 20:36pm]

Boise, Idaho - I went there on a recruiting trip when I was in high school and it was one of the most traumatizing experiences ever! Muncie, Indiana - Also went there on a recruiting trip to Ball State. That place is decrepit, ghetto, too much unemployment, and looks like death. Salt Lake City is actually a really nice place to live. I supposed my view may be slanted as I was surrounded by a bunch of university people, but I loved it there. My list will look like CarrieMPLS's. I would never want to live in the following states: California South Dakota Kansas Oklahoma Texas Iowa Arkansas Mississippi South Carolina West Virginia New Jersey Ohio Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Sorry...I'm a suburbanite. Don't know what it's like to actually live IN a city. I love NY....great place to visit, but I don't see myself living there. BUT...if I had to disqualify 3 cities to live in, I guess it would be; - Anchorage, Alaska (too cold) - Phoenix, Arizona (too hot) - Tulsa, Oklahoma (too many tornadoes!) By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!
