I also thought it was the "licorice store," and not the "liquor store." This made perfect sense to me as on the rare occasions I accompanied my father to purchase beer (he rarely drank), the cashier would give me Red Vines. It just seemed right.

I was a skeptic from a very, very young age. I doubt I believed anything.
