Man, I'm drinking a cup of Trader Joe's Sencha Green Tea and it is THE DEAL.

It's super light and super delicate and it is just the EEEENSIEST bit bitter, with just the hintiest hint of rice flavor. It's super super super refreshing and a really nice drink to enjoy when I'm coming down at the end of the day.

And this is from someone who has a whole shelf full of teas, many of them variations of green tea.

I brought some Clipper brand organic green tea bags home with me from my trip to Iceland, and it's pretty good stuff, too...though a bit stronger and more bitter than the TJ's stuff. It'll do just fine in a pinch.

And then, I have cheesy Lipton green tea with mango bits in weird little plastic-y pyramid shaped teabags. I can't even tell you what that stuff tastes like. Not really bad, but not really green tea-y, either. Just sorta weird and borderline fruity.

And finally, I have some cracktrocious office brand green tea that they were giving us free by the box one day. Never a good sign. I think it's shredded cardboard in teabags. It's skanky. Why do I still own it? I think I'll wrap it up and give it to my landlord as a Christmas present this year.

What's your favorite kind of green tea? Any recommendations?

Accai Green Tea, Made By the Republic of Tea is my absolute favorite. It has a hint of berry flavor, but a soothing blend of young green tea leaves. It comes in a 50 pack. I love it.

Yes it is very good Iced, it also makes a great sun tea. As a matter of fact I feel like the Republic of Tea is probably my favorite brand. They have so much variety. They also have a tangerine tea that rocks, as well as a soothing chamomeile that helps after I've been shouting out orders all day.

I just returned from vacation and my local grocery store started carrying its own brand of freshly brewed iced green tea with ginseng and honey.

I have a few teas I'm drinking at the moment. As far as teabags I'm drinking Clipper Organic White Tea with raspberry and a ginseng blue-green (oolong) from the north of Thailand. I like the quality of Clipper for the price so that tends to be my choice for a quick cuppa.

For green tea I have Clipper's loose 'Green China Tea', which is a fairly standard, slightly grassy but not too bitter green tea. I also drink sugar-free bottled Oishi green tea when on the go.

Otherwise, if I've more time and I really want to enjoy a good cup of tea then it's Fujian loose oolong, which is nicely woody and strong, for the morning, or my favourite, loose Pai Mu Tan (White Peony) for the afternoon and evening.

The right white tea is unbeatable. Better for you than green and smoother if you make it correctly. When it's just nicely warm and steeped correctly it's so light and smooth.



So a good rule of thumb is black or blue-green in the morning to get you going, green for the afternoon, and white in the evening.

If you're game, Silver Needle loose white tea is just about the king of teas at the pricier but generally relatively easy to find end of the scale.

GREEN TEA isn't all that healthy. You gotta drink DARK CHOCOLATE COCOA now.

I just started drinking Green Tea but I've only drank it as hot tea, I've never tried the different cold drinks. Is one better than the other in regards to hot vs. cold?

i love green tea!..i hated bagged tea,lose leaf is better,in my opinion.
i make my tea the japanese traditional way.
my favorite green tea is sencha,kukicha,macchaa,gyukuro,gunpowder

i like black tea,not alot..tho..but i like rose tea,which is basically black tea with some rose petals..

never tried oolong..i like chai too! but not alot..moslty i drink green and black..


but i recommend..WHITE MONKEY(green tea) its very sweet-woody kinda of tea..i also like pi-long chu..
kukicha is good to put in fruitjuices..
macchaa is good for like smoothies and shakes..
sencha has a very clean-feeling to it..
gyukuro is the king(or queen) of japanese tea..very expensive too!

Though I'm no tea expert, I've gotten addicted to Bigelow's Green Tea mixed with Bigelow's Mint tea, perferably hot, though sometimes iced is good.

my favorite wakey-wakey tea is roasted yerba mate, which is about as opposite from green tea as it gets - it's very dark, very bitter (kinda the tea equivalent of coffee, really), packed with vitamins and the natural stimulant mateine (which gives the same kick as caffeine, but you don't crash from it and it also promotes alertness).

i've been looking for the kind of green tea that i've gotten at zen centers/accupuncturists/yoga centers in the past - just a really simple, crisp, slightly grassy variety - and i think i've discovered that it's all about the sencha.

i'm having a hard time with white tea. i feel like i'm drinking warm water with imaginary tea flavorings.

and i REALLY don't like the bottled white and green teas in stores...of course, they're all 99% corn syrup anyway.

I've been running into that here as well. I may just bring a good one in. I was doing a thermos, but everything I have is metal in the middle and it makes the tea taste nasty. I tried plastic but I don't like that either. We have a kind of foam cup here, and that's better than the others, but I even prefer paper to that.

that being said, are you "anti" celestial seasons" or bigelow?...how do you feel about the round tea bags and resealable containers from The Republic of Tea?...their Mango Peach makes a nice brew

i used to date someone who had the peach mango stuff and made iced tea out of it. it was good. better than the relationship, even!

Bigalow Green Tea with peach is my favorite. YUM.
