So, I just found out that my new online friend...

...is not a gay man, but a GIRL! eek I met her on a fansite for...um...another artist, and I totally thought she was a gay dude. First of all, she picked a man's name for a screen name. She also seems to have inside knowledge about the gay community, and more specifically, the male gay community. Also, we got along swimingly, which is usually a sign of gay-manity. I totally had this picture of this person in my mind, and it turns out to be 100% wrong. Oh well, she's still cool, and still my friend, but geez! Not only is my gaydar broken, but my genderdar seems to be a bit rusty too! lol

Dirty minds falloff When I made this screenname I meant it to be completely literal...not even thinking about the apparently more obvious interpretation lol

Ok, so maybe this was a ridiculous post, but it was nearly 2 in the morning and I was too tired to think rationally! I create my absolute WORST threads when I'm exhausted. lol

No, it's not Fruit. It's someone from a different website. I can't pinpoint exactly why I thought she was a gay man. It was something about the way she interacted with people. I can't explain it. She always spoke up during conversations about sexuality, and seemed to really know what she was talking about. A lot of people who post on the website are very young, so she took it upon herself to clarify terms for people who didn't understand them. She also didn't put her gender in her profile, and her screen name is Jack.

Now, I've been mistaken for a man before by people on this website, but those folks didn't know me very well and hadn't checked my profile. But this girl and I have been sending messages back and forth for a couple weeks, and have gotten to know eachother a little. In fact, she was the first friend I had made on the website. I was just taken aback when I saw a picture of my new friend, and she had long brown hair and a skirt on! eek

Still, she's way cool, and I can NEVER tell her that I thought she was a man. But then again, maybe she wouldn't mind. I don't know. Wait a minute, why am I telling you guys this? lol
