Windows Vista users q? 4 the people who upgraded 2 Windows Vista.
Was the upgrade worth it? What do u see as the pros and cons of the upgrade? Did u buy a new computer as well? If not, how does it work on your old pc?

I just bought a computer with Vista on it.
The security crap is annoying as hell. Just like the Mac commericals You get use to the difference after awhile. Media Player sucks Internet Explorer sucks...We used AOL's browser in the past and we really liked the tab thing but its ackward or something on explorer. I'm still learning Vista. Liked XP better.

Since it doesn't support most of the top music production software yet, I'm not going to upgrade.
XP works fine, demands less resources from the computer, and is supported by most software developers.

For the average user there is no real visible/major benefit at this point. In the future, as more apps take advantage of the new features, and as MS releases bug fixes, that will change but for now it just isn't a must have. It's, also, much harder on hardware requirements. What are your system specs now?

We have vista on some computers at the university I attend and I can't understand how to manage word! I really like spicy food. I mostly put Jalapenos on a lot of my food.

It's a nice step up, but nothing to write home about.
It's way more secure, which is cool for all you freaks who browse porn sites cause you should notice that in like 3-4 months your PC should still be just as fast since it shouldn't be picking up malware/adware/spyware anymore. Or rather, it should be picking up less (nothing's flawless). It looks fuckloads nicer than XP. I mean...what were they thinking with XP? Fisher Price? Windows Media Player 11 is so much better than 10. I almost considered using it over Winamp...but didn't. So as I said, it's better - but it's not amazing.

and don't start me on the updated excel. I had that problem but I don't remember how I resolved it. As a grant writer, I LOVE the new word. Makes editing easier. Once you figure out where they hid every damn thing, its much, much, much better. all of the office products are better in my opinion. Media Player 11 is awful.
