How close are you to your sibling(s)? For those with 2 or more, do you find that you share a closer bond with one sibling over the others?

I'm getting closer to my siblings as I get older. I am closer to my sisters after having been with them for the birth of my nephew and niece. I see a lot of people who fight like the hatfields and the mccoys with their siblings and I'm thankful I don't have that kind of relationship with them

I have 3 sisters and a half brother. I am only speaking to one of my sisters. My sisters and I grew up together and were really close but once we became adults, we grew apart and some pretty hateful, mean shit was said and done to me. My oldest sister and I are close and over the years have gotten closer. She is the only mother I have ever known.

I have one brother and we're not close. We did not get along growing up, honestly we fought viciously, and I doubt he's someone I'll ever really be close with.
But I do adore his children and I like his wife and I see his family once a month or so.

I have 3 older brothers and as time goes on we are drifting apart. I try hard to keep in contact.

I feel it is because they have issues embracing our older parents and all that goes with caring for my mom who has to have constant supervision.

Fear and denial, is mostly why I feel they have pulled away

Ok I have an older brother (3 years older) we get along fine.. he has a daughter 7 yrs old and lives not too far away so I see him like every other weekend

My sister is 3 years younger than me.. and I am very close to her but she lives away

I have a younger brother who is 13 years younger, lives near my sister and I am very close to him
- he is a cutie pie and gives me lovely hugs

but they are all really mean to me in a jokey way and take the piss and tease me always

We are all close but I was closest to my younger brother until I did something stupid a couple of years ago.

My older brother is only two years older than I am, and overall we're pretty close. Whenever something goes down, out of all of the people in the family, he's the first one I let know what happened. We're so much a like that some of the things he does pisses me off because it reminds me so much of myself. I joke saying I'm the female version of him I have another older half brother that I'm not very close with. I only see him at Christmas, and still we don't say much. He's in his late 30's, married, with two daughters, so I try to be involved in my nieces lives. I'm not so much involved though.

siblings? ewww. i never had to deal with any of those.

i have a half-brother, but i was estranged from my father before i could ever get to know him. i guess he was my replacement model.

I am the youngest of 3 - four years between my sister and I and four years between her and my brother.

I've had a strange relationship wih them all my life - as far back as I can remember, my brother and I just didn't 'click'. To put it mildly. I don't know if that was because I was another boy in the family, or the youngest, whatever. Maybe it was the age gap. But we have never got on full stop and haven't talked for about 15 years.

As for my sister, she went away to college when I was about 12/13 and - from there on - was never really around the home. So most of my teens, she was hardly about. I was closer to her as a kid but we drifted apart as we got older. She's got two kids that I've never met and the last time I saw her was at my Gran's funeral about 4 years ago. Weird how things turn out.

So, no - not close to my siblings.

I have a brother.

He's 2 yrs younger we were tite all our lives.

And now for the past 8/9 years.....we have hardly spoken.

I have a sister who I've never met who is a good 20 yrs older than me and we think she is dead in the gutter from be it either a heroin overdose or Hepatitis C.....you get the drift.

I am trying to fix the relationship between my brother and I though.

Then there are my 2 brothers and sister from my dad's marriage and I am not close to them at all. Not that I don't want to but we were separated from fully growin up with each other because of my bitch stepmonster. Now they are grown and they don't really know us. I heard from another family member that they have even talked shit about me and my sister, obviously making judgements about us based on their filthy mother and her lies. I feel really sad about this.

I am the oldest out of us 4, the only girl. I have three younger brothers ages 26, 24 and 16, I am really close to all of them but closest to my younger brother. I couldnt see my life without them

I grew up watching my mother and her siblings having these crazy ass fighting relationships and that is something I have tried really hard not to have with my brothers and sisters. With my mom, I'm the oldest of 5. 2 brothers and 2 sisters. I get along with all of them, moreso with my sister Natalie who is the second oldest now that we are older. she and I used to fight like cats and dogs when we were younger. It was her actually, I had to defend myself

I have an older sister who I have never met and I would like to one day find her. My family has issues about that but one day I think I want to. I might even have a black brother or sister out there somewhere Back when my mom and dad first got together my dad was whoring around with all kinds of girls and this one girl he was seeing suddenly skipped town and disappeared. It was rumoured that my dad got her pregnant and that is why she left. But this is never proven. I would love to have the other chocolate as part of my family

I have a total of 4 siblings...a sister I grew up with, but we haven't spoken in over 5 yrs. And another sister, and two brothers, that I have never met. I would love to meet the other 3, but sadly I don't see that happening because their Dad can't stand me.
